Seems like event -XVI- is taking a long time to end and I guess, I will be serving the Devil for a long time as well... It doesn't worry me though but what worries me is the fact that, someone else stealing my ideas and making it their own without even asking or telling me about it.
But that is not the issue here. If he/she wants to steal my idea, I suggest that the person to do a better job than me unless he/she wants to make a mockery out of it or, he/she wants to make themselves look stupid.
I realized that I must not hold on to my works which I have done years back but instead, expose it to the World, so certain people can be put into place. I don't resort to violence physically, but only Artistically.
So, Boys and Girls, I present to you My Photographic Artworks that I have done.
Photography : Diamond Fangs Digital Artwork : Diamond Fangs Tattoos on Model : Diamond Fangs*

Sinner #4 - XVI -
Sunday, June 28, 2009
Boys and Girls,
I know I have been slow on updating my works, including the ones from -XVI- the ongoing event.
I have too many things going on in my head and its been hard for me to concentrate but I still try. Its like, I am already am living in hell in reality. I don't know if the idea of my event has become real or that my mind has engulfed me and over took my senses...
Things around me seems to mess me up and shut me down. Sometimes I don't even know what I am thinking about or even going through. I have been having memory lost and seems like I am losing my grip on my life...
I really need to find my 66 Sinners and finish this event up. Honestly, now I know why they say, "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it".....
Immortal Tattoos was interviewed by an Online Tattoo Magazine, Skin-Artists.com.
Few days before the XVI event !! Enjoy the tease...

Once upon an infernal time, Existed a circus created by hell’s own grime The circus bred freaks that thrived on pain, Thereby giving it, its sordid name.
In the carnival of pain, lived a freak, Whose daily pain made the guillotine seem meek. Diamond fangs, the condemned called him, The Grand Meister, of the Carnival of eternal Sin And the pain he felt, he transferred to ink, With which he marked bodies till raw and pink.
This blasphemy provoked higher beings, Till even God deferred; and the Devil Intervened. Black, angry and searing pains he felt, Of kinds which make hardest stones melt,
Voices of those past inked, echoed painfully Right through Diamond Fang’s head; throbbing violently. The creature thought, for sure he’ll explode, For minions of hell destroyed his abode. Scorched his eyes, and flayed his body Until his tainted soul was ripped all bloody.
Thus when he was about to break, The visions cleared and a voice thus spake, From its high throne of gory splendor, Said the Devil with glistening evil ardor,
“You’ve breached the codes of heaven and hell, For this torrid sin, repent you shall. 66 irredeemable sinners you must find, And mark them with the ink of thine, Then only will your soul mend, And back to your Carnival, you may tend.
Break me this chain of human sacrifice, And your soul can never survive So go forth my insolent son, your quest of 66 sinners has now begun".

Finally, Here I am, with my updates !! A month or so has passed and I guess I am finally ready to tell the World on the things I went through while I was on the Blood, Sex & Ink Tour that took place in Melbourne, Australia !! 22nd March 2009 - 12th April 2009...
To begin with, the experiences I had when I was there, has changed me into someone whom I never thought I would be. Most of you would know who Ms.Kim is and most of you would also know that she and I were seeing each other for quite some time. Not until I got a call on April 1st 2009....
Ladies & Gentlemen, Lovely Ms.Kim and I, are no longer together. Chains of events have made her leave me for someone else, while I was in Melbourne. It was heartbreaking news to me, being more than 3000 miles away from her, there was nothing I could do to save the relationship, which I pretty much treasured alot.
It was not easy for me to carry on my usual routines after hearing the news. I wanted to come back to Singapore, the very next day, hoping she would change her mind. I was emotionally impaled and left to die...literally !!
Thanks to my good friends and the ever beautiful, Absinthe - I managed to survive and carried on with what I came to do. I told myself, "I am not gonna let a Heartbreak ruin the Tour". I didn't fly over 3000 miles, just to go back home being hurt. Fuck that !!
Show must go on regardless what happens, Boys and Girls !! - Even though I am not over what happened. -
Let me take you all to Live Bait Event which took place on March 28th 2009, organized by The Hanged Man Team, Melbourne. Thanks Pete and the whole crew for making my dream come true !!
Marking the spots...
You just gotta Love it !!
Beautiful Hooks...( And I lost those Hooks !! )
Was briefed on what to expect....
Get the rigs on, Boys!!
Moments before being Suspended...
Getting Psyched Up....
What we've got here? I am Flying !!
Rock On !! Let the Devils OUT !!
I felt so good...
Since, I was having so much fun, I decided to lift Nicci up with me.
Nicci holding on...
Up we go !! Woooot !!
Thank You Nicci for going up with me.. I will love you for this !!
I was having too much fun and I had to come down anyway... Wish I could have stayed up there for few more "DAYS"... hahaha !!
Right up to the roof !!
Nicci checking me out... :P
The most amazing person ever, Nicci... -Thank you for being there and helping me out.-
Nicci and Candy... The Ladies got hooked.. Hahaha !!
Time to take off the hooks...
Squeezing out the bubbles.. OOooo
Patch Em Up
The Hanged Man Team !! Love ya guys !!
I had the best time of my life going through such a great experience. I was pretty much sore the next 2 days but if you ask me if I would do it again? Hell Yeah !! I would never miss it for anything.
I will be updating the work I did on Nicci in a few days or so...
I would like to thank Nicci again, for being such an amazing person. I love ya, babe !! Thank you for all your help even though we didn't get to go out much. I like to thank The Hanged Man team again for making it possible for me. I like to thank all my clients who trusted me to put my works on them. I finally like to thank Jack Daniels and Absinthe for making me go through the nights I wish I didn't live...
It was both a good and bad experience. I did lose the one person I ever loved and cared for but, I also found many others, who love and care for me now. Even though time will heal all wounds, memories will always haunt me...
I do wish Ms.Kim all the best and hope she finds happiness in the "other" party...You will always be remembered.
I am back with an Absinthe Addiction, Hunger for Success and with a New Fucking Lifestyle - To ROCK the World !! Put on your safety belts.. I will take you all for a ride -Winks-
Until next time...

Hello all !!
Immortal Tattoos, Singapore has now launched a group on Facebook.com
The ever increasing trend now, seems to be catching on. Without a doubt, limits are pushed to move this "styled" tattoo in bigger scales than what it was, originally.
Due to the increasing popularity of this tattoo, I will control the number of people getting it done, so as to, it will not become too common in time to come. Therefore, I will push the limits even further by doing various variations in accordance to this style !!
I guess I owe the "Lovely Ms.Kim" a kiss, for the inspiration tothe many out there!! Woo hoo !!
Saturday, September 20, 2008
Due to the recent popularity tattoo of Ms.Kim's tattoo, ( Which was done on the 2nd Event of Immortal Nite @ Chillies) I had a request from my friend Violin, to do something similar on a bigger scale.
Enoy it !!

I was interviewed regarding issues about Tattoos being Taboo in Singapore.
Immortal Tattoos, Singapore - is the first in Singapore to follow out the campaign in order to protect and reclaim history behind the SWASTIKA !!
Immortal Tattoos, Singapore - will be working closely with ManWoman, who has been on 40 year mission in protecting and reclaiming the innocence of the Swastika.
Our aim is to detoxify the Swastika and preserve the History. Hitler did not create the Swastika - HE STOLE IT !!
Immortal Tattoos, Singapore - will be doing free Swastika tattoos to the first 13 customers every month, to spread the word and to change the mindset of the millions who still regard the Swastika as a EVIL symbol.
I thank ManWoman in lending me a hand and for the support. And I ask the thousands of viewers who come to this blog for the support !!
A tattoo which I did for my customer today, made me understand of how comical life can be in its own way. It made me realise of how simple life is.
A beautiful tattoo which not many would prefer it on their body. A statement which differs you from the rest. Well, it is for life - So might as well, live with it !!

Feel the wrath !! Another random Demon tattoo.
Monday, June 2, 2008
Had a customer walk in today to get something around the tribal dragon which he already had. So I created something for him and did what I was suppose to do.
He left with a big smile on his face. Another satisfied customer at Immortal Tattoos, Singapore !!
Please note that the Tribal Dragon was NOT done by me.
I had my friend Naren come in today, wanting to get something to cover up the scars he had on his inner forearm region. What better thing to do over the scars? A skull of course !!
The skull image is used in several religious cultures. The Indian god Kali is pictured with skulls in her wrathful form. Within the Kabbalistic tree of life, the skull symbolizes not death but rebirth, and is a celebration, not mournful time.
In Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico, the skull is a reminder of death, but it reminds people that while death is a misfortune, it can also be seen as “the ultimate liberation.”
Gamblers enjoy using the skull as a “reverse bad luck” charm, hoping it will bring them good fortune. When used by gamblers, it is often accompanied by black cats and dice rolling seven.
Not all meanings are positive, however. The Nazi SS used the death’s head as a symbol, and many neo-Nazis still use the symbol in tattoos to this day.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls of all ages who have helped in contributing to the counter hits by clicking on my site for the past year or so. I thank you all !!
The 4th Event - The Final Event. Immortal Nite @ Chillies !!
Before I start off, I just want to let you guys know, we were all wasted even before the whole tattoo event began for that night. How did we pull it off? Well, what can I say? Feast your eyes on the visuals!!
(*For those who don't know what the term "wasted" is, I don't wish to explain anyway.) Hehe !!

The sun plays in an important role in many cultures. Several prominent early civilizations were involved in worshiping the Sun - such as the Romans, the Egyptians, the Aztecs and the Incas. While other cultures also paid homage to the sun, in these specific areas, the Sun was their highest god.
In Rome, the sun god was Apollo. He was thought to bring the sun each morning in a chariot across the sky. He also was considered to be the god of healing and arts.
In Egypt, the god Ra was in charge of the sun. Ancient Egyptians believed that Ra went through various transformations throughout the day, just as the sun did. He was the most important of all of the Egyptian gods, and pharohs from the fifth dynasty forward took the title "Son of Ra".
In Aztec culture, Huitzilopochtli was the god of sun and war. The patron deity of the Aztecs, it was said that he was supposed to guide the Aztecs to a promised land in the south. Human sacrifices were at one time made to this god in hopes of winning wars.
The rich mythology surrounding the sun means there is a wealth of different tattoo styles that can be found depicting its image. Many choose to get the sun and moon depicted together, as they are complimentary and, in some cultures, symbolize male and female power.
Others choose the blocky, tribal style of Aztec suns. The sun can also be a symbol of rebirth, so some people choose to combine it with other imagery such as Celtic Knots and Stars. The light and dark, good and evil symbolism are also a reason that people are so drawn to these tattoos.
That you see, Ladies and Gentlemen is a work done in 1 hr.
And what happens when you finish your job faster than expected? Well, You will start clowning around !! Welcome to my world !!
Rock on and suck on my boots !! Well, don't we all have "duties"?

Swallow tattoos once common among sailors years ago now seem to have been rediscovered and transformed into a new school style of tattoo. It is not uncommon to see some retro chick with swallow tattoos emblazoned across the chest, abdomen or even on the arms.
Sailors would have swallows tattooed as a sort of metaphor for finding their way, because the legend goes that if you were ever lost at sea if you saw a swallow you could follow it home. There are different versions of why people get swallows and can also mean a person has done time in prison or 'bird'.
Swallow tattoos seem to be popular with those into Rockabilly and are usually tattooed on either side of the neck for guys or across the chest or abdomen for chicks. The most famous person with this style of tattoo is Marc Almond of SoftCell fame a British group popular in the 80's and early 90's.
The traditional tattoo means: A sailor gets a set of swallows on his chest. The story goes if he or she drowns, the swallows come down and lift his soul to the heavens.

Just some random tattoo done...
Friday, March 14, 2008
My long time customer who is in progress of completing her blackwork sleeve, came in today to do another potion. I was given the green light to do what I feel like and that is every tattoo artist's dream come true.
Most times, its the customers who want to have certain kind of design on them, but on rare occasions, the tattoo artist gets to choose and do something they feel which is right for that individual.
I decided to mix 2 flavours into one - Polynesian and a Mandala to signify "wholeness" and used for ritual purposes.
Even though their beginnings may be linked to specific religious purposes, mandalas are popular with tattoo connoiseurs of all faiths.
I modified the Dharma Wheel: the eight hubs are a symbol of the Eightfold Path*, leading to perfection -
1. Right Belief
2. Right Resolution
3. Right Speech
4. Right Action
5. Right Living
6. Right Effort
7. Right Thinking
8. Peace of Mind through Meditation
Mandalas are particularly popular in henna tattoos. By definition, a mandala is any one of a variety of geometric designs that symobilize the universe. These designs are ritualistically used by Hindi and Buddist during to aid in meditation.

I had my good friend come in today to get herself a tattoo. Its none other than Ms Roshni (Ms World Singapore 2007). Its been ages since we caught up, so what better thing is there to do, other than to have some nice tattooing session.
It was a custom piece done on her lower back which requires couple of sittings. I won't be revealing what she had done so far, so stay tuned for more !!
Getting Busy on her...Tattoo? Haha !!
Sweetness...
So boys and girls, this is just a preview of what Immortal Tattoos has to offer. There will be many more updates in time to come. Lots of dark emotions are waiting to be expressed. Enjoy !!

Psycroptic was formed in 1999 and immediately set out to create their own style of darkened death metal. Consisting of originally of Cameron Grant (bass), Joe Haley (guitars), Matthew Chalk (vocals) and David Haley (drums), the four came together after the bands they had played in disbanded.
However in 2005 , ongoing disharmony and tensions resulted in the rest of the band asking Matthew to leave in March 2005. In April 2005, Jason Peppiatt (Vocals) was asked to join Psycroptic.
Close to 8 yrs now, Psycroptic has performed and toured with Deeds of Flesh, Dismember, Cannibal Corpse, Kataklysm, Nile and Deicide.
Look how wasted I am. I can't even throw the horns properly. Haha !!
I wish Psycroptic a bright future and will have full support of Immortal Tattoos, Singapore. You rock !!
Boys and girls who are into death metal bands - Your collection is not over until you get Psycroptic !! They are the Metal from the Isle !! Go get their CDs or merchandize now !!

Hello all !!
Yet again, its been some time since I updated this blog. It has been a rough ride ever since I came back to Singapore. Lots have been going on and its just making me sick and tired.
There have been rumours and tall-tales about me going around in cyberland and the real world. Its like, I am being watched, of what I do in my personal life. Why can't those people give me a break?! There are some, whom I might not know, are just dying to tarnish my name. Isn't it funny when ; whatever I do actually, does not concern them and yet, they use my name just so they feel good? They do need to get a fucking life and mind their own business.
Its true that many people do know me and its work's nature to be interactive with them. There are some who just piss me off, well just tough luck. Sometimes, I wonder why its bad to be nice.
To all those who wanna mess me up and spread rumours about what I am like or what I have done, I got something to say - "Even if I were to be shaking hands with Jack the Ripper or riding with Kid Rock or getting laid with X-tina, it is not your god damn business. If you want to make it your business, come face to face, meet eye to eye and tell me. I ain't running away. I am happy at what I do and I am loving it."
Make it simpler for the "Paparazzi-Wannabes" - I am the Rockstar !! Just shadow me in my public and personal activities. Bring it on!! -Wink -

Another tattoo done in Van Diemen's Land. It was a modification to the original design....
Tuesday, February 5, 2008
The very first tattoo done in Van Diemen's Land, is none other than a tattoo of Ned Kelly. I know many people don't know who Ned Kelly is. Even I had no clue who he was, until I was told that he was the Australian Bushranger - The Australian Iron Outlaw. In other words, boys and girls ; He was the real Australian Gangster !!
Edward "Ned" Kelly (January 1855 – November 1880) is Australia's most infamous bushranger and, to many, a folk hero his defiance of the colonial authorities. Ned Kelly was born near Cragieburn, now in north suburban Melbourne to an Irish convict father, and as a young man he clashed with the police. Following an incident at his home, police parties went in search of him. After killing three policemen, he and his gang were proclaimed outlaws. A final violent confrontation with police at Glenrowan, with Kelly dressed in home-made plate metal armour and helmet, led to his capture and trial. He was executed by hanging at Melbourne Gaol in 1880. His daring and notoriety made him an iconic figure in Australian history, folk lore, literature, art and film.
Ned Kelly survived to stand trial, and was sentenced to death by the Irish-born judge Sir Redmon Barry. This is case was extraordinary in that there were exchanges between the prisoner Kelly and the judge, and the case has been the subject of attention by historians and lawyers (see Philips). When the judge uttered the customary words "May God have mercy on your soul", Ned is reported to have replied "I will go a little further than that, and say I will see you there when I go". He was hanged on 11 November at the Melbourne Gaol by Elijah Upjohn. Although two newspapers (The Age and The Herald) reported Kelly's last words as "Such is life" and two other newspapers as "Ah well, I suppose it has come to this. Such is life", another source, Ned Kelly's gaol warden, writes in his diary that when Kelly was prompted to say his last words, he (Kelly) opened his mouth and mumbled something that he couldn't hear—and since the warden's office is closer to the scene of the hanging than the witnesses' allotted space, Ned Kelly's last words actually remain uncertain. Sir Redmond Barry died of the effects of a carbuncle on his neck on 23 November 1880, twelve days after Kelly.
I would like to take this time and chance to dedicate this piece of blog to Gavin & Bron...

Hello everyone !!
Sorry for my long absence. To some who have known, Immortal Tattoos was on tour to Van Diemen's Land - Tasmania !!
I am now finally back to the fast paced and noisy land, where everyone seems to be in a rush, and god knows why. One piece of advice to everyone who is new to my blog and to the those who keep track over the months, - Watch and Learn from the boys from Van Diemen's Land. They rock !!
Before I go on about my tour, I would wish to share something.
I was back to my studio today, and I should say, it was not a warm welcome.
Few months back, I had a customer who refused to pay after getting a tattoo by me and I had to call the cops on him. Seems like the cops can't do anything about it as it was between "retailer and customer" issue. Full of shit if you ask me. Anyway, the guy ended up paying and left.
And of all days, he returned yesterday and asked me to retouch his tattoos for him. Well obviously I refused to, and he got pissed and shouted vulgarities at me. After all the peace and quietness, some jackass have to piss me off. There was some confrontation between me and him, verbally that is, and he ran out of the shop and called me out for a fight. When I asked him to come back in, he just took off. What a pussy he was !!
And some other guy I tattooed many months back as well, who is known to be in prison now, was bragging to his cell mates about how he wanted to beat me up and break my shop. And he went on saying to some other guy that my tattoos are expensive and that I am arrogant.
A note to the jail bird - "Well if you are reading this, probably you are illiterate ( If you know what that means ), so it doesn't matter. You can ask your "friends" to translate it for you. But wait ; are they not as dumb as you? Let me tell you something. This is Singapore, my low lifed friend. You can brag to your cell mates anything you want, but your the one serving time in prison, selling your ass for some cash to buy drugs when you are out. So, try harder next time. If you think my tattoos are expensive, don't do it, cause your too cheap to be tattooed anyway."
Sure is fast paced back in Singapore - Pretty FULL-ON boys !!
I will be updating about my tour over the next few days, so don't blink....

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, the Addicts of Ink !!
I have not been updating much recently in my blog. Sorry to keep you guys waiting. Its not been a busy month recently, so just as to take a break from work, I decided to catch a movie after a long time.
Yes, you guessed it !! I did watch "The Tattooist".
Before I carry on with the comments I have to make about the movie, I would like to make an announcement.
"By continuing to read on to what Immortal Tattoos, or the Tattoo Artist (Myself) have to say, you have agreed to lose all political powers and legal rights against Immortal Tattoos, or the Tattoo Artist (Myself). If you don't agree to MY terms, please fuck off NOW!! But if you don't agree and still want to carry on reading, please be advised that you are automatically registered as an asswipe - In other words, you still lose all political powers and legal rights against Immortal Tattoos!!" - Thank You -
So lets, get back to my story about the movie.
I saw the trailers and it was very captivating and I told myself, "Man I have to watch it!" I also got calls from my friends asking me to go watch it, since it was good. ( In their opinion that is. )
So, there I was, in my seat, watching the movie and then... I FELL ASLEEP !! Boys and Gals and children of all ages, "The Tattooist" - SUCKED !!
If you are going to watch the movie, please don't waste your money. Donate it to the poor and the needy (Maybe to the guys who made that movie? I don't think so !!). If you have already watched it and think its good, I am happy for you.
Let me summarize how the movie went, even though I fell asleep.
The movie begins, with the "hero" on bed, having nightmares about the tattoo he got when he was a kid. And how his dad was religious and cut off the skin where the tattoo was. "Hero" wakes up and walks butt naked to the window and stands there, looking. (Maybe he was wondering where he left his clothes).
Some parts of the movie was taken in Singapore, and they had to show the Merlion. "Hero" will be in a car, and he will reach to a big house out of nowhere. A butler opens the door and welcomes the "hero" in. The owner of the house, walks down the stairs and talks crap to the "Hero" and brings him up to a room, where the owner's son is. ( This is not Brokeback Mountain, so no gay shit, ok? )
Next scene shows the boy who looked sick and seems to have asthma attack or something. The owner turned to the "hero" and said "No monk want to mark him". The owner gives the "Hero" and envelope, probably containg the cheque and asked him to tattoo the kid.
(Thing is, the "Hero" gives everyone the impression that his tattoos can heal people, and therefore he was asked to the house to tattoo the sick kid, hoping it would save the kid's life.)
"Hero" will take out his dirty case, takes out the machine and the grips and place them nicely. He puts the grip to the machine, (without even putting in the needle), goes over to the boy, ( who looked 10-12yrs of age ), and starts tattooing, without freehanding anything or even putting on a stencil. Everything in that scene was screwed up !!
"Hero" then leaves after doing the thai chakra/mantra on the kid. "Hero" will then be in a Tattoo Expo in some building called "CAPITAL or CAPITOL" with the letter "L" blinking. Tattoo Expo in a rundown building?
"Hero" then steals the handmade needle from the Saomans and leave the building. And guess what?! The owner of the big house comes up to him and says his son is dead and that the tattoo did not work and threatens the "Hero".
Lets rewind here, shall we? The guy in the big house, who is rich and powerful, said that no monk wants to mark his son. Then why would he trust this guy who tattoos by machine?! Since it was given the impression all these was in Singapore, which monk in Singapore actually tattoos anyone?!! What an idiot ! He could have paid some monk to fly in from Thailand instead to help his son. And, what kind of Tattoo Artist would tattoo a small boy who is so sick? Its against the code of Tattoo Industry.
In my opinion, the boy did not die because he was sick. Let alone if the tattoo worked in healing or not. He died from infection from the unsterilised equiptments used. The grips were not even in a sealed pack, neither was it disposable ones if you have noticed.
"Hero" gets cut by the handmade needle used by the Samon. The wound was like 3-5cm on his palm. Next couple of scenes later, his wound would be like 8-10cm long, then after couple of scene, the wound would become smaller again to the original size. Come on !! Can't they decide how big they want the blady wound to be?
Whoever get tattooed by the "Hero" would die, because some demon tattoos behind the scene on the clients. The demon looks nowhere like what they want to portray it to be. The demon is suppose to be a Saoman who was killed because his tattoos were not done right. But honestly, it looked more like he was a native from the African Tribe. Again, they can't decide on what they want !!
I just can go on and on about the movie, but when the dust is settled, all I can say is, the movie was VERY BAD. It was very degrading to the tattoo industry and tattoo artist around the world. Especially to the Saomans and their traditional tattoos.
When I looked at the trailers, I saw a scene where the "Hero" and a girl would make out and clothes come off. I did not see any of that in the movie in real time !! They probably censored a R21 movie, make it NC16, so more kids can go and watch.
Since they made it like that, why do Singaporeans complain about kids getting tattooed? Controvesy, controvesy, controvesy !! Again, they can't decide !! Asswipes, I should say...
Out of 100 stars, I would give only 1 star to it. Reason, there will be a scene where this chick will die in the hospital and the ink will be flowing through her body, pass her neck, skin opens and blood drips and it flows up to her eye and the eyeball bursts and blood flows out. I would give it up to the effects !! Other than that, the movie sucked.
So, boys and gals, just stick to Miami Ink. Love Ya All !!

Another polynesian tattoo to add up to the list. But this time, its not the traditional black but full red. This is the very first time I ever did something so red !
I have related a topic on Polynesian/Maori tattoos in my previous post ( Sunday, August 26, 2007 )
As there is no writing in the Polynesian culture, the Polynesians used this art full of distinctive signs to express their identity and personality. Tattoos would indicate status in a hierarchy society: sexual maturity, genealogy and one's rank within society. Nearly everyone in ancient Polynesian society was tattooed.
According to Japanese legend if a koi succeeded in climbing the falls at a point called Dragon Gate on the Yellow River it would be transformed into a dragon. Based on that legend, it became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.
More generally, the Japanese associate koi (also known as carp) with perserverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Because of its strength and determination to overcome obstacles, it stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals.
Others say it means good fortune or luck.
The Koi Fish is symbolic in the Buddhist Religion, representing courage. Humans 'swim' through the 'ocean of suffering' without fear, just like a fish swims through water.
It is also one of the most popular and beautiful of Japanese tattoo symbols – a beauty which belives its symbolic meaning. Although Chinese in origin, the carp is now widely celebrated in Japan, particularly for its manly qualities.
In tattoo imagery, especially in combination with flowing water, it symbolizes much the same: courage, the ability to attain high goals, and overcoming life's difficulties
There are fourteen classifications that koi fish can be broken down into, separated by color and markings. One of which is the : Bekko. Bekko can be red, white, or yellow, but will have black markings, like the one I did.

It was a very quiet day today at Immortal Tattoos. Everyone seems to be busy shopping due to the festive season around the corner. So, I carried on doing my own things around the shop, basically lazing around.
Just then, I had a lovely lady walk in today, wanting a Peony on her hip. She wanted to have it in black and grey but I talked her out of it and have it coloured instead.
The Peony is a flower with a history of cultivation and veneration that goes back thousands of years. In Japan and China, the peony is a floral symbol with meaning on par with the Chrysanthemum, the Lotus and the Cherry Blossom The Peony is regarded as a symbol of wealth.
As a tattoo design, the peony symbolizes wealth, prosperity, and good fortune. According to Japanese tattooing tradition, peonies also symbolize daring, risk taking and the gambler's or Samurai's devil-may-care approach to life. A gambler's next bet may be his last, a true Samurai according to the Code of Bushido, or The Way of the Warrior, lives each day as if it may be his last.
The peony is a potent symbol of beauty, of the fragility and fleeting nature of existence and the knowledge that acquiring great rewards comes only by taking great risks.

Many Native Americans choose to get wolf tattoos because wolves are extremely important in their mythology. Wolves are seen as teachers or pathfinders, and can also symbolize ancestors or other spiritual guides. Different types of wolves were indicative of different clans and Native American tribes, as well as commonly being used as totems.
Here are some different meanings assigned to the image of a wolf (which some believe are transferred to the wearer of a wolf tattoo):
-Devoted -Loyal -Fearless -Intelligent -Family (pack) oriented -Attuned to the natural environment
In astronomy and astrology, the wolf is represented in the stars by the constellation known as the Dog, or Sirius, in the Pleaides. This was also thought to be the origin of the "Ancients" by several of the Native American tribes.
Some Celtic mythology depicts the sun being devoured by a wolf (the cause of night). In Norse mythology, the wolf is a sacred image to the god Odin, who was the father of all the other gods. Romans also revered the wolf, because this creature was sacred to the god Apollo, as well as being featured in the myth of Romulus and Remus.
Lion tattoos have two primary meanings - one is a simple appreciation of a beautiful animal; and a second is an image of fierceness, pride, and strength.
Your lion’s pose will say a lot about the thought behind your tattoo.
A lion at peace suggests confident, quiet strength. A roaring lion shows a desire to make your power known. A lion in battle can represent a willingness to fight for what you believe in. A lion paired with a gentler animal, such as a lamb, shows a desire for peace.
The Iban scorpion symbol, also sometimes known as kala, was noted particularly in Iban tattoo designs by Charles Hose (a civil officer who worked in Borneo over twenty years) and William McDougall (an English anthropologist) in their 1912 publication The Pagan Tribes of Borneo.
However, the authors note that the “scorpion” design is actually based on the highly stylized image of the aso, the mythical dog/dragon associated with protection from malevolent spirits. Hose and McDougall suggest that the Iban adopted their tattoo designs from other subgroups on the island and created their own interpretations afterwards.
In the kala design, the claws of the scorpion were originally the back end of the dog while the hooked ends at the back of the scorpion design were originally the open jaws of the mouth of the dog. Although it has no particular significance in the scorpion design, even the rosette-like eye of the dog still persists in the center.
Kala is also a protective symbol widely used in Iban Art.
I am dedicating this article to the 2 different kinda people in the world. The first, those who want to have a good tattoo but at cheap cost. The second, to the scratchers who tattoo at home and think they are the best in the world and think that they are so undergound and everyone worships them because of some linework done which looks like a 5 yr old kid has done it.
All I can say to them is, "You can go and fuck yourself."
There is a saying, "The bitterness of a poor-quality tattoo will linger long after the sweetness of a cheap price is forgotten." Or in other words, " Good Tattoos Ain't Cheap, Cheap Tattoos Ain't Good".
I am sure everyone is aware of that phrase or have seen it in tattoo parlours everywhere. But I still wonder, why is that everyone wants a cheap tattoo.
I have encountered 100s of them walking in over the past few months, bargaining the price of tattoos like they are bargaining for fish in the market. This is a Tattoo Parlour for God's Sake!! And to those who don't know what that means, You need to wake up !!
I know I sound kinda pissed off at this issue. Well, every professional tattoo artist should be, and would agree with everything I have to say in here.
"If you really want a tattoo from a particular artist, why are you going to let a price tag hold you back? You do realize you'll be wearing this tattoo for the rest of your life, right? If you don't think that's worth a few extra dollars, don't get it! "But I can get the same tattoo from my buddy for half that price!" Fine - you go see your buddy and don't come looking for a shoulder to cry on when you end up with a lousy tattoo or get some kind of disease or infection from improper sterilization."
I have customers who wanna bargain a $100 tattoo, all the way down to $20 !! Are they high on some cheap drug which cost them only 5cents? God !! There are even some who show off their badly done tattoo, ( probably done free by some scratcher cum junkie ) and say, "This big one only cost me $10". Damn right, its only $10 because it comes along with HIV, HEP B, Permanent Disfigurement to the skin that bloats up. "3D EFFECT", Literally. Man, You really got a good deal !!
"Don't choose any artist based on price alone. Look at the portfolio. Ask around to see if they have a good reputation for good work. Check out the competition and compare quality, not prices!"
You only get what you pay for. Don't expect a good quality tattoo even if its a professional when you bargain prices all the way to the ground. You piss us off, we will make you pay for the rest of your life. I am very sure you don't want to be tattooed by a pissed off tattoo artist do you? And don't come running back saying the tattoo is badly done. Don't expect the whole cake when you only pay for a slice.
But on the other hand, there are also artist who charge alot for a tiny tattoo where you can get triple the size elsewhere, still with good workmanship. Why is this so? Number one reason - We all have rents to pay !! Some places have higher rents - They have to charge higher for the tattoos too. And seriously, I have seen some bad tattoos (Not once, but many times) which cost a bomb, done at "famous" tattoo shops.
The best part - Tattoo Artist Wanna-bes, have their own shop, acting all professional but charging more than half the price lesser, than that I am charging. I have 2 kinda people in this kinda situations.
Firstly - Comparing prices. Saying, "I did this in that shop, the guy only quote me $80". Where I would charge maybe, $150 for the size and design but I would do it free if I were to do in that quality !
Secondly - People who regret. Saying, "I did this in that shop, the guy spoilt it. Can you do something bout it?". I would be pleased to do what I can do to the badly done tattoo, but sometimes I do turn them down, cause they are way beyond coverups at times.
If a person can pay so much for something which is not permanent, why not pay for tattoos which will follow you till grave.
By now, I am very sure to piss alot of people off who read this article.
Remember - Only those who are guilty gets pissed off. So, if you are pissed off, get off my fucking blog !! Hehe !!

For many millennia the Sun was believed to be at the center of the Universe, around which all other heavenly bodies radiated. The Sun was a symbol of both royal and divine powers, adopted by both secular and religious authorities.
Nearly every culture has a creation myth that explains how the sun came into being, and often times an accompanying apocalypse myth that details the end of the world, as we know it, when the sun is destroyed or devoured in some manner. Many cultures have myths that explain the rising and the setting of the sun, and this repeating cycle of light and dark has come to symbolize life and death, regeneration and reincarnation.
I had a customer walking in, asking for the "Rays" of the sun, to be done on his arm. Sounds easy. But as he elaborated further, he actually wanted it to be done in "Dot Work". Meaning? Basically the design does not consist of any outlines or shading, but its purely done by just dots. Nothing else, just plain DOTS !!
After pricking in 1000s of dots in his arm, it was done. Of course, he felt every dot tat was done on him - Each and Every dot !!

Maori tattooing is a distinct school of patterns and graphic designs within Polynesian tattooing. While much of Polynesian tattooing is derived from straight-line geometric patterns (and thought to originate with patterns found on ancient Lapita pottery shards such as have been discovered in Samoa), a design fact which rose in part because the traditional Polynesian tattoo combs are best suited to linear designs, Maori tattooing is essentially curvilinear, and the mainstay of Maori designs are based on the spiral. It should be noted that renowned traditional Hawaiian artist Keone Nunes has demonstrated that it is possible to reproduce complex curved designs using traditional Polynesian tattooing implements.
Traditionally Maori tattoo artists followed very specific rules laid out for facial "moko" or tattoos. It is important to note that because of the tremendous cultural complexity of New Zealand's many tribes and clans, these rules often had local variations. But the idea that the tattoos followed a set of prescribed rules was widespread, and tattoos were specific to individuals, family, clans and tribes. Maori tattoos follow the contours of the face, and are meant to enhance the natural contours and expressions of an individual's face. A well-executed tattoo would trace the natural "geography" of an individual's facial features, for example lines along the brow ridge; the major design motifs are symmetrically placed within opposed design fields: lines are used in certain areas where spirals are not used; two types of spiral are used -- the koru, which is not rolled up and has a "clubbed" end, and the rolled spiral. (Ta Moko: The Art of Maori Tattoo, By D.R.Simmons)
Been days since I updated anything up in here. Seems like some kinda voodoo spell has been casted on Immortal Tattoos !! Where have the human canvases disappeared to? Have they turned to dust? Hehe !! Well, I can't blame bad times can I?
But, on exception, there are few survivors who got away from the curse and fell right into the studio...
Here are 2 of the works done...
Tribal Dragon ( Making a Comeback )
Orchid and Aum
The orchid symbolizes perfection, wisdom, and thoughtfulness in some cultures; in other cultures it symbolizes virtue and morality. That's all I pretty much know about Orchids...Hehe !!

Rose tattoos have been popular for the past couple of decades. They can be both a masculine and a feminine tattoo. They were once the preserve of sailors back in the day but have since become increasingly popular amongst females as more and more females started getting tattooed.
Roses originated in ancient Persia and were historically viewed as a masculine flower, however several thousand years of cultivation produced many exquisite and beautiful variations associating it with females and love.
I did this for a male customer who wanted to have his kids name around it as well and it came out pretty sweet...
Red roses can mean love, romantic love, and respect. White roses signify spiritual love, purity, innocence or secrecy. Bridal white means happy love. Yellow roses signify joy, gladness, friendship and devotion. Coral roses imply desire. Light peach roses signify modesty or friendship Orange roses say fascination. Light pink roses imply grace, gentility and admiration. Dark pink roses say "thank you." Red and yellow roses mixed together can mean congratulations Yellow and orange roses together imply passionate thoughts. Red and white roses signify unity
Greeks mythology described roses as being white until the goddess Aphrodite pricked herself on the thorns, and her blood drops turned the blossoms red. Even today people attach meaning and emotional qualities to roses.
Hey there everyone!! It has been awhile since I updated the blog as I was caught up with shitloads of work after returning from the Tattoo Convention. Work, Work, Work !!
Anyway, I was asked to do a tattoo of a frog by one of my customers. And honestly, never have I, tattooed frogs on anyone in my life. But hey, like they all say, there is a first time for everything...
The frog is a tattoo design that cuts across many cultures. As a member of the animal clan, the Frog is seen as a teacher. A lunar creature that resonates with water, it also lives on land.
A cold-blooded creature, the Frog possesses an extremely sensitive skin which shamans consider magical. In many cultures, the Frog is associated with the ability to jump from one state of consciousness to another.
The frog is a symbol of generation, rebirth and fertility. The Egyptian frog goddess was named Heket.

DAY 2
Woke up early this morning as I had an appointed with Ernesto to have my other fist tatooed at the convention itself.
I got off the cab and I was greeted by the press as they interviewed me, asking me bout my experience and the tattoo I got the day before. I never expected them to be there, but hey, I just love it !!
After the shoot and interview, I walked up to the hilltop where the convention was held and watched the Iban Cultural Dances before heading to the booth of Borneo HeadHunters where Enersto was waiting for me.
It was fun watching them dance and trust me, I really wanted to dance too..hehe!!
Booth of Borneo HeadHunters.
Picture taken by Ernesto himself.
Cameras all over me again...Hmmmm...
It was the most relaxing thing I ever did in my life. It was a great experience and to feel so good after that, is just beyond words to describe.
Final check of the alignment and its done !!
Ernesto and me posing for the camera !!
Robb and Me...
To summarize the whole experience and having a tattoo done traditionally was an enlighting moment for me. Never will I forget it and yes, I have learnt alot which I can use in what I do. I thank everyone who who made this trip possible and I thank the crew of Borneo HeadHunters for giving me a good experience.

DAY 1
What can I say ?!
It was great being in Sarawak for the 2nd International Borneo Tattoo Convention 2007 !! I wished it never ended so fast. It was the best experience and being able to be tattooed traditionally by Enersto himself, from the Borneo Head Hunters, was a great honour. Walking around Bukit Aup Jubilee Park was the most physically tormented thing I ever did !! It was such a huge place and climbing up endless fleets of stairs was madness. I will tell you all about it as we go by...
Day 1 of the convention...
I was able to meet Alex Nadini of Italy and it was awesome to be side by side with one of the world's best !
Borneo Design being done by Rotary Tattoo Machine
FreeWind of USA doing his thang ya'all..
Freewind tattooing traditionally with the help of his wife...
Later that evening, I was traditionally tattooed by Ernesto and it drew a large crowd witnessing it. The whole event was videographed and photographed by the press for magazines and documentaries and such... My oh My, was I excited or what ?!
After close to a hour, the tattoo was done. And I had another day to go for my other fist to be tattooed again..hehe !!

In my post about Phoenix in May, you guys might have read about the legends and myth on the Legendary bird. I happen to do one again today, which took a toll on me. Sometimes, most of the customers don't realise that their skin tone plays a part on how the tattoo turns out. And of course, being a professional in this business, its your duty to edcuate them. Most of the time, you can succeed in it, but bad times do roll in too...
A customer of mine, being in the midtone skin wanted to get a phoenix done, which obviously needs colours, but then again there are also option to have it done in black and grey. But sadly, colours won't show much of how it will be on a lighter toned skin.
Talking about the colours that would match his skin tone, I had to really crack my head...
So after close to 2hrs, when the dust has settled from the wings of the Phoenix, I called it a day with some happy endings...

Aum - is a mystical or sacred syllable in the Dharmic religions. It is placed at the beginning of most Hindu texts as a sacred exclamation to be uttered at the beginning and end of a reading of the Vedas or previously to any prayer or mantra. The Mandukya Upanishad is entirely devoted to the explanation of the syllable.
The syllable Aum is first described as all-encompassing mystical entity in the Upanishads. Today, in all Hindu art and all over India and Nepal, 'Aum' can be seen virtually everywhere, a standard sign[citation needed] for Hinduism and its philosophy and mythology.
Aum is not a word but rather an intonation, which, like music, transcends the barriers of age, race, culture and even species. It is made up of three Sanskrit letters, aa, au and ma which, when combined together, make the sound Aum or Om. It is believed to be the basic sound of the world and to contain all other sounds. If repeated with the correct intonation, it can resonate throughout the body so that the sound penetrates to the centre of one's being, the atman or soul.
In modern time, Aum tattoos have become very popular with the crowd, regardless of thier age, sex or even religion. It has become the most common design to my knowledge and seriously I have lost count on how many of my clients carry that sacred symbol.

Guess who walked in again today? Its the same guy who had his tiger done the other day...Hehe!!
My returning customer within few days apart. How cool is that? Ok lets get back to what he wanted shall we?
This time, he didn't want a eagle that looks like a rooster or a dog looking like a wild boar, but instead, he wanted a tattoo of a mother carying her child...Sweet huh? But then again, his angular looking imagination came into discussion again...And what can I say?
Anyway, he did the tattoo out of his love for his mum and wanted his mum's name in Tamil. Staying true to his roots, I should say...
Monday, June 4, 2007
I had a customer walk in today, wanting to get a tiger on his arm. Explaining to me that he wants his tiger to be fierce. Typical tattoo as always. Well, that is what I thought. He then goes on, saying that he wants the tiger's body to face a certain angle and the facial expression to be in a certain angle, which of course, will be near impossible for the tiger to be in an awkward position in reality, unless its a tiger practising yoga, having its body to be so flexible...God !
After that is done and going through some of the designs, he said, "I want my tiger to look like a gorilla!" Come on !! How can you have a tiger that looks like a gorilla? Its either a tiger or a gorilla ! What a day to start my week with !!
At this point of time, I knew I had to step in and explain to him in my point of view, that what he is imagining is nowhere going to look like a tiger. He was on the darker skin tone, so colours won't work well. He did look kinda disappointed, but I assured him that it will turn out well.
And this is how it turned out...

Butterfly tattoos have been one of the most popular tattoo designs requested by females for the past few years. They have always held a fascination with humans and are often the subject of artistic expression from painting to music. Most people would agree that their uniqueness and striking colors are undeniably beautiful.
Some cultures believe that butterflies are the souls of the dead while others believe that the appearance of butterflies can signify the arrival of a baby. To see a butterfly among flowers in a dream can signify prosperity and a need to settle down. It mean news from absent friends if they are flying around.
I was able to work on something different few months back. Its of a butterfly with "henna-like" designs on them, instead of the regular bold colours that are usually used. It was a custom piece designed by me, which took 4 1/2 hrs to complete it on skin!! Any more takers?

What do women and tattoos have in common? BEAUTY ! I should say...
And when you put this two beautiful creations together, you get a masterpiece, ever put together both by God and Man. Now that is some heavenly partnership.
I got the opportunity to work with one of my stunning friend to bring something deep inside together and portray it visually. What you see are actually fake tattoos, even though she did wish those were real. All thanks to the typical mindset of our locals in our society, who view people with tattoos differently. Especially when a woman has a tattoo.
So, my message to all the typical humans in our local society or abroad, who have a brain smaller than a walnut or even none at all, each and everyone of you can stand in queue like trained dogs and kiss my tattooed ass !! - Literally -
In the last 100 years tattooing was common among criminals, motorcyclists and gang members but in the last 20 years this has drastically changed, so much so that approximately 50% of all tattoos are done on women. And who are these women? These are the soccer moms, and professional women, the women from ages of 18 to 40.
As little as twenty years ago, you did not see tattoos on women very much. Now you can go to any beach and see a design on the lower back of many young girls tanning in the sun.
So what I would like to say is, tattooed skin looks better than bare and plain ones...
If any of you ladies interested in working with me for photoshoot and tattoos, EMAIL me for details.

The dragon is a mythical creature typically depicted as a large and powerful serpent or other reptile with magical or spiritual qualities. Mythological creatures possessing some or most of the characteristics typically associated with dragons are common throughout the world's cultures.
Although dragons (or dragon-like creatures) occur commonly in legends around the world, different cultures have perceived them differently. Chinese dragons and Eastern dragons generally, are usually seen as benevolent, whereas European dragons are usually malevolent. Malevolent dragons also occur in Persian mythology and other cultures.
In Revelation 12:3, an enormous red beast with seven heads is described, whose tail sweeps one third of the stars from heaven down to earth (held to be symbolic of the fall of the angels, though not commonly held among biblical scholars). In most translations, the word "dragon" is used to describe the beast, since in the original Greek the word used is drakon.
Over the years, having tattoos of dragons have changed. From the more oriental or mythical looking to more modern contemporary ones. Most choose to have this kinds done on their skin, so as to not to run out of the "Trend" by having traditional dragons done instead, even though there are many who still prefer the traditional looking ones.

The hannya mask is the vengeful and jealous woman turned demon. Pointed horns, metallic eyes and teeth, and the expression all exhibit the full wrath, anger and resentment of her nature. The origins of hannya masks may have come from early snake masks but most likely the image was taken from painted hand scrolls of stories and legends of the Muromachi period. In fact one of the oldest hannya masks is dated 1558. Of course the most prominent feature is the horns. Even to this day a hand gesture of two index fingers sticking up from a man's forehead is an indication that his wife is mad at him or jealous.
There are many variations of hannya masks. The coloring of the face also signifies the degree of passion in the demon's anger. For example, a more reddish color indicates strong resentment and anger and is used in such plays as Dodoji and Kurozuka, whereas a paler color would be more appropriate for Aoi-no-ue. Dodoji is the story of unrequited love between a woman and a priest of Dodoji (temple). She turns into a demonic serpent who wraps her body around the temple bell consuming it and the priest in the process.
Being a Tattoo Artist for sometime, running my own studio, its just funny how u meet all kind of people. What really cracks me up, are the people who come in highly intoxicated by alcohol or by any other substances which only God knows of !!
Its really funny when they can't even stand straight, they talk with a slur which seems like they are speaking in tongue and wanted to get a tattoo at the same time. Its like a Fusion went wrong !! God !! Do they even realise what they really want in the first place?
I had a customer one day, who walked into my studio and wanted a tattoo of his wife's name. He did'nt seem that drunk to me at that point of time until I asked him of how would I spell that name. My oh My !! He can't even remember his wife's name for Christ's Sake !! He took out his handphone, went through his contacts and pointed out one of the names in there and said, "That is my wife"... It does irritate me when I have drunk customers and seriously, I DO NOT ENTERTAIN ANYONE WHO IS HIGHLY INTOXICATED BY ALCOHOL OR BY ANY OTHER FOREIGN SUBSTANCES -So they can just fuck off from my studio. Most of my customers ask me this question. "Must I get high on alcohol in order for me to take the pain"? To answer the question, NO. Whether you are drunk or not, you will still feel whatever pain you might feel and you will bleed more than usual as your heart pumps faster as it tries to flush out the alcohol content in your body. I was wondering, why would one, want to have a tattoo if they are afraid of the pain?
Ladies and Gentlemen, Tattoos are not for the weak !!

The Cross is one of the most ancient human symbols, and is used by many religions, most notably Christianity. It is frequently a representation of the division of the world into four elements (or cardinal points), or alternately as the union of the concepts of divinity, the vertical line, and the world, the horizontal line (Koch, 1955).
The word cross was introduced to English in the 10th century as the term for the instrument of the torturous execution of Christ (gr. stauros', xy'lon), gradually replacing rood, ultimately from Latin crux, via Old Irish cros. Originally, both 'rood' and 'crux' referred simply to any "pole," the later shape associated with the term being based on church tradition, rather than etymology. The word can nowadays refer to the geometrical shape unrelated to its Christian significance from the 15th century.

Creatures from the world of Legends and Myths have been evolved into something else in this Era. For many years, tattoos such as the phoenix have been collected by many. I had the chance to tattoo a phoenix on someone not long ago... So here it is !! (Still In Progress)
The phoenix bird symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death. In ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, it is associated with the sun god. According to the Greeks, the bird lives in Arabia, near a cool well. Every morning at dawn, the sun god would stop his chariot to listen to the bird sing a beautiful song while it bathed in the well.
Only one phoenix exists at a time. When the bird felt its death was near, every 500 to 1,461 years, it would build a nest of aromatic wood and set it on fire. The bird then was consumed by the flames.
A new phoenix sprang forth from the pyre. It embalmed the ashes of its predecessor in an egg of myrrh and flew with it to Heliopolis, "city of the sun," where the egg was deposited on the altar of the sun god. In Egypt, it was usually depicted as a heron, but in the classic literature as a peacock or an eagle.
